Lady Cherese Carter is a Licensed Professional Counselor, nationally-recognized speaker, media personality, and founder of the non-profit S.H.I.N.E. Cherese is a trusted voice for her generation who is known for her energetic spirit and contagious passion. Throughout her life, Lady Carter has inspired women of all ages to face their fears and live a life full of light, purpose, and impact.

She is the founder of the Christian organization the S.H.I.N.E. (Serve Him In Everything) Movement. What started off as the heart of young girls blossomed into a full non-profit organization. With the rise of low self-esteem , bullying, depression, and suicide, young women need a place where they can come S.H.I.N.E. Since 2010, S.H.I.N.E has touched the lives of over 2,000 girls ages 12-18 through monthly mentorship meetings and annual conferences in multiple cities.

Lady Carter is the author of the book entitled “Hello, Purpose: Say Yes to a Life That Matters.” Hello, Purpose is her refreshing journey to finding purpose by saying yes to a life that matters. Lady Carter candidly shares her personal story of striving for success, only to feel the stress and frustration of not living for what she was created for.  She opens up about her feelings of failure, inadequacy, emptiness, and disillusionment. Despite her achievements, she found herself asking, “If this is truly living, then what is the purpose of life?” Now, having found a true sense of purpose, Lady Carter encourages readers to redefine what it truly means to live.

Lady Carter’s professional experience is dynamic and community focused. She is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a double degree in Business Marketing and Religion and holds a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the states of Pennsylvania and Texas.

Lady Carter is married to the love of her life, Pastor Rodney L. Carter Jr. Together they have a son Rodney III and daughter, Charis Yvette.
